The third Telltales CD, Under the Waterline, features Toby Roberts and Will Belford with guest musicians.
Toby Roberts
Songwriter, singer, musician, the reason the rest of us are gathered together as The Telltales ... what can you say about Tobes, a man gifted with the ability to churn out pop/folk tunes by the bushel load and possessor of a voice to match. All you can really say is “we’re not worthy.”
Will Belford
A man to whom playing the bass guitar isn’t just a love, it’s a way of life—along with writing, rugby, beer and giving advice to all and sundry that is. You’d walk several long dusty miles to find a better man with whom to play music. Luckily you’d be offered a beer at the end of them.
The first two Telltales CDs, The Telltales and Haymaking, feature Toby and Will, plus Peter Gifford on drums and percussion and Toby Roberts on keyboards and backing vocals.
Peter Gifford
Once renowned for his ability to hit the skins with excessive force, Peter has mellowed into a drummer of restraint and sensitivity. Despite cursed as a drummer to being up the back, he refuses to stop acting like a front man. Blog at Headless Hollow.
Mark Roberts
You guessed it, Mark and Toby are not only brothers, they share an almost supernatural ability to pick up any instrument lying to hand and then, annoyingly, to be able to play it. Well. In addition to extra guitar duties Mark employs his silky smooth harmonies and a surgical link with a pear-shaped shaker to the proceedings.
